All non-essential operations have been shut down across California. This includes many court functions. However, court functions as to domestic violence restraining orders to protect victims and their children from their abusers remain operational.

The Marin County Superior Court issued an Administrative Order on March 16, 2020, ordering the family law courtrooms and clerk’s offices remain open for restraining orders and other types of emergency orders.

The Sonoma County Superior Court issued a clerk’s notice on March 16, 2020, stating it will only hear domestic violence restraining orders.
